Only 2% of venture capital goes to female founders and early stage funding for other underrepresented founders is similarly low. This is no surprise: Globally, less than 1.3% of the trillions of financial assets are managed by women and people of color. The case for greater diversity among investors couldn’t be more evident.

Angel investors play a pivotal role in the early, most risky phase of a startup, providing much needed seed capital and expertise. Angel investors are the dynamos of local startup ecosystems and we want more of them – everywhere!
